Goodbye The Band

Goodbye The Band is John Acquadro and his desktop computer. Goodbye The Band has written and recorded over 1,000 songs, tracks and fragments under the name since 2000, including a score for the DIY film Most Of My Memoirs are Plagiarized. The duo embraces inventiveness and the novelty of uncanny valley music by creating virtual bands, and has produced melodic tracks in a variety of unique genres taking equal influence from electronic dance music, jazz music, Captain Beefheart, Madlib, Nine Inch Nails' The Downward Spiral, East Bay musician Spencer Owen, classical music and the repetition of both pop music and Philip Glass' "Train 1" from Einstein on the Beach
